Lewis Does Data

Data science blog, tutorials, tips and tricks

Hi! My name is Lewis. I’m a data scientist, bioinformatician, cancer researcher and certified programming instructor. I currently work as a senior lecturer in data science and analytics.

During the last decade working in the academic sector, I have gained experience with a broad variety of analytical workflows, including next-generation sequencing data processing, large-scale clinical data analysis, unsupervised and supervised machine learning model development, text mining, interaction network construction and interrogation, geospatial data analysis, and various others.

My main programming capability is in the R, Unix (BASh), and SQL languages. I am also proficient in development and deployment of scalable, automated cloud-based or high-performance computing workflows, use of myriad command line tools, containerisation technologies, version control systems such as Git and GitHub, self-service interactive dashboard and web app development, and reporting in several formats.

If you would like to read more about my skills, experience, and current research projects, please check out my profile page or LinkedIn profile. If you would like to get in touch, please refer to my contact page.
